Nice sign to point the way to the TEAM51 Hangar.

(Has since been stolen)

This photo shows Murdo giving his presentation to guests at the open house, highlighting his products and the Air Racer Project. There were members from the local EAA chapters present as well as other interested individuals.
Team Artist, Todd Disrud and his son, Nathaniel, who is a  junior member of the team, in front of the hangar looking at a couple of aircraft flown in by guests of Murdo for the open house. Todd has been instrumental in designing the first T shirt and stickers, and is busy designing other graphics for the website and TEAM51 as we proceed. He will help with the construction of the racer and anywhere else that he can, in addition to his artistic work. We will both be learning the ins and outs of composite construction as we proceed.
Bob Friederichs, whom I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time, was at the open house as well. A long time friend of Murdo's, Bob is a partner with Murdo on the Racer, and has quite the aviation career himself. A retired Delta pilot and mechanic, Bob was involved with Murdo from the inception of the P-51G. Here he is standing in front of the fuselage mold with the left half of a fuselage mounted to the wall behind the mold.

In this shot, you can see Murdo's friend and fellow TEAM51 member Terry Rebaudengo from Edmonton, Alberta, and team member Holly, (who will be instrumental in composite work when we start construction, hopefully soon), talking with a local reporter who came to the open house and ran an article about the project in the Coeur D'Alene newspaper. Stay tuned for further developments. There are several projects in the works that will be taking place soon.
